HEAD WOUND CITY | SCRAPER
Remember being into hardcore in the naughties? Girls jeans, tummy t-shirts and flesh tunnels. Yeah you remember. Questionable fashion choices aside, the bands were pretty wild. Head Wound City have just reignited every former scene kid turned grown up’s inner circle pit with news of their first release since their self titled EP back in 2005. The post-screamo super group featuring members of The Locust, Blood Brothers and Yeah Yeah Yeahs are kicking it again and are set to release A New Wave Of Violence on Vice Records on May 13. The new record, produced by Ross Robinson, takes it’s name from a Raymond Pettibon zine and will be their debut full length album. Check out first single from the album ‘Scraper’. Still every bit as noisy, chaotic and abrasive but after 10 years of maturing the new material features a certain structure the original songs did not.
A New Wave Of Violence is out on Vice Records on May 13 2016.
